Marble Hill Picnic

By 20/11/2011October 4th, 2023News & Reviews

You’re invited to a Picnic on Sunday, November 20th with some of the finest artisan wine and food producers from the Adelaide Hills!

It’s almost here! Bring a picnic rug and basket with a cutting board and cheese knife and join us for the 3rd annual Picnic at Marble Hill on Sunday 20th November, 11am to 4pm, in the grounds of Marble Hill, 314 Marble Hill Road, Marble Hill.

Purchase freshly made or locally grown foods to create your own picnic from stalls run by the region’s leading artisans. Kick back and enjoy the jazz-funk stylings of Midnight Martini or walk the grounds to find a spot to share your picnic with family and friends, with commanding views across the hills and plains to the sea.

Winemaking legend Henschke and a selection of rising Adelaide Hills boutique-winegrowing stars – Basket Range, BK, Honey Moon, Jauma, Lucy Margaux, Natural Selection Theory, Ngeringa, Ochota Barrels and Whisson Lake – will offer tastings that celebrate a shared vision of single-vineyard winemaking. Wine can be purchased to drink on the day or to take home.

Udder Delights Divine Goat Cheese heads up a group of truly exceptional food producers: Skara Smallgoods, Woodbake Café (woodfired pizzas!), Christine’s Cakes, Moshico Coffee (roasted in the Adelaide Hills), Tumbeela Native Bushfoods, Natura’s Ice Creamery and Ashton Valley Crush. There will be a gourmet sausage sizzle and a lamb BBQ featuring local ingredients, including meat from the Aldgate Village Butcher.

Tickets: $10 for over-18s can be purchased from www.trybooking.com/WXW.
(Tickets at the gate will be $15.)

Children under 18 accompanied by paying adults are admitted free.
Parking is limited, so please carpool!

And there are only 300 tickets available – book now!

The Picnic is a not-for-profit event entirely staffed and organised by
local volunteers. Profits from the day support the Cora Barclay Centre
for Hearing Impaired Children and the Cherryville CFS.
